The RAM Marine Grade Aluminum Rail Strap Mount consists of the 1'' dia. ball and socket system with RAM Universal 2.5'' diameter Plate and connection hardware. This mount is designed to be a universal mounting solution for both RAM and non-RAM designed products. The hole pattern found on the 2.5'' Plate will connect to a large variety of third party cradles and mounts.

RAM-B-108-G1U BASE DESIGN:
The Powder Coated Marine Grade Aluminum Rail Strap Mount Base fits a rail diameter from 1.0'' to a maximum of 1.9''. The 1'' rubber ball is at a right angle to the mount base placing the ball at a right angle to the rail.

To mount this base, first place the 'U' Shaped plate on the rail and then wrap the metal clamp strap around the rail and plate. Tighten the screw knob on the metal strap with a screw driver until the strap has a firm hold on the rail.

Included with the base is one 6.0'' and one 8.0'' long metal strap is included with this base along with a 5.5'' long (approximate) strip of rubber to avoid any scratching or marking of your rail.

RAM-B-108-G1U ARM DESIGN:
The Powder Coated Marine Grade Aluminum Standard Length Double Socket Arm is 3.0'' long when measured between socket centers.

* The Garmin cradle for the GPSMAP 176/176C, GPSMAP 276C, GPSMAP 196 (only the cradle on the yoke mount) and GPSMAP 296 (only the cradle on the yoke mount) will connect to this RAM mount, by unscrewing the cradle from the mount. For an even stronger holding cradle, you can purchase the cradle manufactured by RAM (RAM-HOL-GA7).

CONNECTION HARDWARE INCLUDED:
The plate includes a set of four short and four long nuts and bolts to connect the plate to your required cradle.
